  1. 1. Are you finding it increasingly difficult to sell things on the classifieds?

    • I sell things quickly and easily - it seems people have money

    • I find it rather difficult to sell things - I struggle to sell and get low ball offers

That's the stuff dreams are made of! The market for that type of bike is very small, the people in that market that can afford that level of build even smaller, and the 1 or 2 that can will probably buy new. I am afraid that bike is gonna sit for a while...

not to mention IF you were in the market for spending that amount on a bike...it would have to be MR Waynemol's Pygo Mobu instead. Overall so much more bike...still brand new, and probably way more resale value in the long run

Try picking up the phone and calling, works every time.

That is not meant to sound insulting, just a reality. Mails and messages are easily missed in daily life and once its down the list it is never seen again.

I don't mind people taking time to respond, but please just respond.

I'm personally not one to call, because I hate disturbing or being disturbed at inconvenient times.

I'd rather have the Chameleon   but that's just me. I have a thing for hardcore hardtails. They are just more special and have more character (for me anyway). Dual suspension bikes just feel like they serve a purpose and that's that....

That Mobu is pretty sweet though....

I'm with you on the hardcore hardtail but that build is maybe a bit "too much" for for that type of bike. Personally I wouldn't go much higher that XT/GX for a bike like that, but that is just me. And a steel frame as well, something like Stanton or Cotic.

totally agree. hardcore hardtails need to be metal AF....otherwise they are just silly looking xc bikes that suck at xc lol

Look this is super cool but I recon this might be in the top 5 of hardest bikes to sell right now

That is a great build with great touches (like the PNW dropper lever) but I honestly  thought the price was a R123456789 type thing not an actual price.

As has been said that is a very niche build in a very niche category with very few buyers looking to spend the much on a hardtail and those that are will spend that money building new themselves and spacing it exactly how they want every little bit. Would love to do a quick spec build to see what the total for that is. Were the wheels carbon or alu?

It belongs in the bike porn thread and I would have loved to see the Dream Build video by Gee Milner.

But at an XL frame, it will have an even smaller appeal

So this. Maybe I'm crass but a 7 year old bike with outdated Geo, old components etc... I would offer 20k at most.

BUT it comes with a Burry tag so does a paint job and Burry make it worth more?

Burry Dying was a tragedy, but his wife has moved on, surely we all should to? 65k is a whole lot of money for a really old, outdated 3rd hand bike

(Moving on does not mean forgotten).

Yeah, the frame would be nice to have but that's it

All those parts are hopelessly outdated not to mention that all the seals are probably dry and cracked by now

Sweet. Looks like this guy just found a buyer for his bike. You're welcome!
