This entire thread should never be left to disappear.

@*Reinet* Marais I pray that you are progressing through this time, please remember if you ever need anything that there is an entire community here that will do what they can to help.

The quoted part above I posted in July, my neighbour lost his battle 2 days ago. He was basically bed ridden for the last few months, at least he made it through one last christmas with his grandchildren.

Thank you. I agree. The thread should (if possible) always be visible. It is special.

Thank you so much. I’ll remember that and I know François would have appreciated to see all the comfort and support everyone has given me. In Afrikaans we say: “hoe eet jy ‘n olifant? Happie vir happie”. So that is exactly what I’m trying to do. Some days are better than others. I believe once I’m back at the office to keep my mind occupied, it might help. But it's not easy. It’s one of the most difficult things to ever go through and I don’t wish it upon anyone.

I’m so sorry about your neighbour. I’m at a loss of words at the moment 😢

‘n Groot dankie aan Robert wat my mooi gehelp het met my fiets en trainer. Was vandag vir die eerste keer in 3 jaar op die fiets (nie trots daarop nie), was heeltemal te lank terug. Kon nie te ver ry nie, is ongelooflik onfiks, maar dis darem ‘n begin.

Mooi so, stadig maar seker

Start where you are, do what you can, use what you have .

My "nommerplaat" op my commuter vir more se Argus 👍

Gereelde mediese toetse en vroee diagnose was sekerlik DIE boodskap wat Francois vir ons, mans en vrouens, nagelaat het.

😢 moes nou eers ‘n traan wegpik. Baie dankie hiervoor. Beteken so baie. En ek is seker François het ‘n breë smile op sy gesig as hy die nommerplaat moet sien. Dankie. Sterkte en geniet dit.

Many riders with "I love Boobie" clothing on the route today.

Even a lady with a message on her top: "Wear purple in remembrance of a lost loved one".  She saw my "number plate" and gave a thumbs up.

Reinet ek het darem EEN foto geneem vroeg oggend ....
