Wow, you okes laughing, I just got a response for an event - No, sorry I am self quarantining and will not be attending events in the future.

Sounds like this is going to be a good line for tindr as well. "sorry, I am self quarantining"

Pretty much been my approach to social events, work functions and anything that doesn't involve exercising or spending time with my wife/cats/dogs/son for the last few years......

Only the editor of the beast book around would know all this. Thanks, Tim.

If I'm not mistaken , the author also won the Argus on a tandem with the head of Cape Cycle Systems....?

Reality is we are all gonna catch it eventually, no dodging this virus in the long term. But if we can delay it's arrival in SA just a week longer for our CTCT attempt it would be awesome

If I catch it I am phucked since I am an asthma sufferer. Apparently it really stuffs up the lungs and people with weak lungs don't make it past the severe pneumonia you get with this bug.

I see there is a video of some dude calling for his people to stand together and disrupt the CTCT which is doing the rounds. You never know how seriously to take these okes but these days you never know. Either way if you are doing the event just be aware and careful. Not paranoid though.

Negative, Sir.

That would have been Peter Callow or Chris van Zyl, both partnered with Graham Hall to win.

SEE THIS IS WHY I AM GLAD I FOUND THIS THREAD ........ when discussing it over breakfast with my wife, her comment of well who really cares .............. when the actual answer has such great information.

Tim literally wrote the book about the CTCT

I'm not sure what's worse

His video or the fact that people are supporting him .....

He is clearly delusional and praying on the very weak to garner support

If they cancel the race because of this, they have to realise that they will kill this race for the future. They will be lucky if they get 10000 entrants next year, at which point COCT will not provide road closures for such a small field. And then it will just go downhill from there.

As of last week there were still entries available - remember 2015's event where we had to enter a digital queue to just enter... A corona-cancellation will be another nail after protests, fire and wind... gonna be an interesting few days
