Nic Dlamini's arm broken by Table Mountain rangers

Just watched it. Standard one sided carte blanche report. The fact that sanparks refused to participate made the whole thing pretty arb... They shouldn't have run it without input from them.

The issue with that is that all a (alledged) wrongdoer needs to avoid being exposed is to refuse to participate.

If you give all skelms the right to "censor" the story merely by  refusing to comment, investigative journalism will be the poorer.

Precisely. Expecting a response or participation from SANP is like looking for snow in the Sahara. The depth of their disinterest and incompetence is breathtaking.

I am waiting for sanparks to use the normal "mind your own bussiness"

Sure.. But..... Carte blanche has a recent history of producing biased "expose's". Maybe not in this case.. But their legitimacy has been eroded because of this. They are no longer the hard hitting magazine programme that they used to be 10+ years ago

They have become click bait outrage merchants, under the guise of "public interest".

They need this for viewership, so don't hold it against them, just appreciate that they are not the Isabel Jones, they once were.

What has this got to do with this thread?

It's an example of being arrested for 'resisting arrest' like Nic was.

But the policeman didn't have to break arms to make his point.

(Whether this particular guy deserved to be arrested and all that, is another story for another time - Happy to wait until Friday...)

He is a good squash player because he doesn’t need to move to cover the entire court.

I can imagine he just stands on the T and elastic man's every corner of the court

His lawyer, David Kapelus, said he was not able to give more information.

“We cannot give an update on the legal proceedings. We are dealing with various issues from the incident at the moment. We are not in a position to give a detailed update.”

SANParks spokesperson Reynold Thakhuli said the matter had legal implications and he could not discuss it in detail.
