Kinda annoyed that they changed the wording on the 109 challenge

Previously it just stated 109 anywhere anytime now I see they updated the rules to say the 109 or more must be ONE SESSION

under normal circumstances the CTCT would be 109km, so one should have assumed that you'd need to do it in one session for the "virtual" ride.

Theres 2 events

1. The charity 109

2. The virtual race

Originally the email said you just need to ride 109kms for the month of March and the proceeds are for charity

Not everyone has time for a 109 and some entered because they were under the impression you had the month to do 109 some of my friends who just started cycling entered this

Also organizers shouldn't change rules after receiving payments ....not cool

I'm doing my 109 this weekend but still its not right

Also the daily prizes so far have being going to those fortunate enough to ride 109 during the week this was not communicated properly

But lets be honest, 109km over the month of March is not really anything to write home about.

Completed my first attempt last night on the IDT. Kids obviously knew I wanted to ride longer last night so decided to stay up a bit later delaying my start so I only finished at 22h00, feeling a little bit tender at work right now. The oldest sommer sat with me for the first half hour "cheering" me on(read bitching that I had my TV channel on and not his TV channel).

It is amazing how they just know these kinds of things!

I have missed two meetups on Zwift the past two days due to the youngest just not settling in...

Congrats on getting it done regardless

Well done on Sub 3.

I'm guessing there will be some groups forming.

I'm looking at doing it anti clockwise, just because why not.

I am keen on riding the route this weekend, but what roads are you guys planning to ride to get from the Castle to Steenberg? Same as the Argus, N2 then M3? Surely not through Woodstock given the recent incidents? Or N2 then other roads skipping the M3 only? Any info will be appreciated.

from CT you got to go through woodstock. you can then either go main road all the way. peel off through constantia or earlier through newlands/rhodes drive

start early on this stuff and you'll be fine.

See okes on Facebook are wetting their pants, they thought you had the 31 days of March to complete all 109km. Feel its unfair that have to do it ALL on one day. We are getting soft, this everyone gets a medal for just existing is annoying.

Come people, its a challenge.

I'm feeling guilty because the 109 route I have mapped out has much less climbing than the actual "race".

The wording was a little vague when they first released it, but I never thought "hey, I've got 31 days to rack up 109km"
