so Pritzen off the EF pro conti feeder team?

The team has folded I believe.

Was surprised he never looked elsewhere in Europe as he had some decent rides with EF Nippo, But then again, The Honeycomb team look after him very well and seem to have big plans for the future.

Nice to see a local team with bits and bobs, New Assos Skinsuits and kit, Met Helmets, Scicon Glasses, DMT shoes, New Bianchi bikes.. Can see the owner Kyle Mitchell is very passionate and gives the guys everything they need to focus on just riding their bikes and representing the brand.

This thread is dead quiet.....

Months of speculation at what is happening at Ineos, Pidcock joined Dougie's outfit....

(very tongue in cheeck, so dont kill me keyboard warriors, "we all know how Cav's move to Dougie played out...")

Demi to stay on a Spez... 🆒

I'm suspecting Pidcock's will pan out the same way but it appears no one wants to touch the Pommie with a 12foot barge pole. I'm guessing they have valid reasons 🫣

I’d be interested to know why you say the bit in bold, would it be related to his salary requirements or MTB interests, or………?

I see no reason why TP can't win as much as the other TP, it just won't all be on the road. His road palmares are not bad for a 25yr old.

He is a unique rider that needs unique handling, whether he will get that at Q36.5 time will tell. Obviously he will not be a 3week GC stage racer, that question has been truly answered on the Ineos dime so Q36.5 better not waste anything further on it.

Another quite pertinent aspect as that he has been at Ineos in a time of turmoil for the team, moving to a smaller outfit with an upward trajectory was probably the break he needed.

Just me reading between the lines on social media. It seems like Tom is not the easiest of guys to work with and I gather he's not the best team player in the game.
The guy has a huge amount of natural talent but that's not enough on it's own in the Pro ranks.
He might just be better off sticking to MTB & Cyclocross but that's not where the $$$ is.

The valid reason was that it was widely understood he would be going to Q36.5 subject to release from Ineos. No one is going to waste their time trying to secure a rider if they already have an understanding with another team re joining

Let's be honest here, widely understood or not, why the hell is a young rider with that pedigree going to Q36.5?

4 bigger race wins in 4 yrs, the other TP does that as pre TdF warmup without even trying.  Pidcock is expecting a similar salary to TP, WvA, MvP and is not really in the same league on the road.  Potential is there, but seems to be either hot or cold on how he wants to play it on the day and not how the leam wants the race ridden.

On the road he has one good race/stage, does not work for the team like the others do, and they are even happy to forgo their status to achieve a team result.  When MvP & WvA are racing hard in cyclocross, he may mix it up and get the occasional win, but 8 out of 10 times he is 3rd.  His only real standout is MTB but only when he picks and chooses races that he believes will suit him.

Q36.5 are probably looking to up their status and get more wild card entries to the GT's and will likely leave Pidcock to stage hunt on his own as there won't be a team to support him.  Maybe his inclusion will pull in more sponsorship, so that they can build a team, but likely to be a long term thing.... and I doubt the relationship will last that long.  Toys may well be thrown well before then.

I suspect the palmares will stay heavily weighted to MTB rather than road
