Went riding from Baberton to Josefsdal ( Bulembo) Border Post.

3200m Of climbing in 84km....

I thought it would be cool to ride with you. Not anymore. That would kill me.

Garden Route Trail Park today. Had a look at the loop where Matt Macduff fell from the sky.. and it is moer high!

The park is awesome in every way!

 

 

And down at the Karatara river before climbing back up to the awesomeness of Forest Frenzy and Madcows.

On a slightly sad and disquieting note, we found the Lower Tokai area almost deserted. Where you would expect many walkers, dogs, kids, runners and riders on a fantastically beautiful Sunday afternoon, the place was almost eerily empty. I wondered whether it had something to do with the horrible happenings of earlier this year? Can it be that we now avoid it without even realizing it? That would be like letting the dark side win. I hope people will go back in their droves and MAKE it a friendly and peaceful place again!

Yesterday was definitely wet & muddy . And got really cold near the end . Hate the cold ????

But still had a fun ride with lots of near misses .

Saturday got 'pap sop nat' around the trails in the souf but was still nice to be out with my boet that has been in the land of the long white cloud for nearly 2 months ... sadly he will be emigrating towards the end of this year 

 

 

Decided against getting wet again Sunday so my son and I 'slapped' this together for him ....
