Polokwane Game reserve. Polokwane Pedallers morning club ride. Awesome day. Did a total of 70km today. Havent done that mileage in more than a month. Recovering from the winter flu. Did tons of single track. Did not realise there were so much in the Reserve. Awesome day!

For some obscure reason Meerendal was still closed when we drove pas there this morning -

 

 

 

Some time later I stopped to play with the camera -

 

 

 

 

Passing Piketberg the early morning light provided a show that no camera can do justice to -

 

 

 

 

DO stop at Floris in Clanwilliam -

I planned on taking the gravel road from Clanwilliam to Calvinia -

 

 

Sadly this road gives new meaning to "corrugated" !!!!      You would need to run at a stupid speed to stay ontop of the corrugations, with regular ROCKS sticking out of the road surface .... nee-wat, so gaan ek nie my car opvoeter nie !!  Back to Clanwilliam, N7 Vanrhynsdorp, Niewoudtsville, Calvinia.

 

Then it was time for a slow cycle around town to explore the area -

 

 

One of very FEW flowers in the area .... NOT the typical flower season !!  But then again, we have done the route many times, and only once did we see the very last few flowers .... maybe one day ...

Looking at where the last picture was taken from and you being on a gravel grinder, I was just wondering if you go at such high speeds and if that is a traffic/speed camera picture because it looks like it has been taken from that pole behind you?
