Ahhh a weeks holiday starting tomorrow, Ceres (Matroosberge) for 3 days then 2 days in Sutherland. Taking the mtb with so I guess I'll be doing some snow cycling.

Won't be taking the cell with so I can have a peaceful rest and work this side must go on while I sit in front of the fireplace.

Enjoy peeps, speak again next week Friday.

Die laaste keer wat ons in Hartenbos was vir n naweek was ek hier verby met my fiets en wou nog my laaitie bring, maar die naweek was te kort.

A bit of Trailpark Klein Brak Rivier with the youngest. It was her first time to go down a ramp and she was on my six and couldn't stop so she had to do it and afterwards she did only the ramp a few more times. I'm very proud of her.

I haven't been on the bike much lately on account of the weather and a hectic work schedule.

Yesterday morning I managed to sneak out the house early-ish and what a day, what a ride! It was so great to get some fresh, cool air into burning lungs and take in the beauty of being outside where I live.[emoji108]

Not even a puncture could wipe the smile off my face.[emoji41]

Took me to Grahamstown for the G2C bike race and a few shows at the festival. Including Suzanne Vega, remembered why I like her music.

Then the 60odd km today. Corrugated gravel roads are not my favourate riding surface.

Saturday morning we did Stairway and Burry at Meerendal.

 

WOW, what a way to see the sun rise !!!

 

Bottom dam again has an "island" .... even the upper dam has a bit of water in it.  Fields are GREEN

 

Weather was just brilliant, despite the crisp morning air ....

 

 

 

Sunday afternoon repeated the route with a few friends.  LOTS of riders on the trails.  Everybody greeting each other, making way for the couple of racing snakes - who all took the time to say thanks.

Bottom dam has an island again.  Even the top dam has some water !
