Got home a little earlier than normal, so decided to go for a roll around the neighborhood. First time I noticed the less power/more power overlay on Garmin Connect.

A lekker 31Km cruise to complete my week’s Vitality points.

Is there a 2km radius rule again?

Well is all started well!

3 Mungrels on a mission to do a 180 km ride.

The first 113 km went like a dream.

But on our way to phase 2 of the ride. Feeling fantastic, I got hit by a coward in a car.

He, like cowards do, decided to flee the scene.

Thanks to the heroic efforts of the SAPD and local security companies, he was apprehended 8km from the scene after a witness to the accident took the quick action to report his registration number on a whatsapp group.

I dont remember much as I was knocked out cold. I scan has shown that there is no brain damage. But that is because they discovered during the scan that, as everyone expected, I dont have a brain.

The coward has registered a case against me for damages to his vehicle. Claiming that I rode into him. Witnesses will prove this to be a blatant lie of a person not willing to own his shite.

While many people were looking for the vehicle for which I am eternally thankful, kudos to the Officer from Afri Forum security patrols who spotted the vehicle and ensured that the coward was escorted to the nearest SAPD station.

Of course. What makes you think I didn’t?

Sorry, mine was an in awe comment, not an accusation. My bad.

I remember watching two chaps from Cape Town run every single street in the city when we initially had the 3 hour exercise window. It made for a mad cool map afterwards.

Thats cool, at least you rode past my folks place.

I saw Garmin did an update recently that now shows these overlays, makes it slightly more interesting to look at, and makes maps like this more colourful.

It’s a great route for my kids to ride with me. Lots of quiet roads that also allows them to ride far, without going far from home (in case they get tired).

I used to do a 22km newspaper route around there, when I fell and broke my wrist the one day it was close enough to walk home.

These days it will be a bit of a longer walk as they've built on some of the open ground I cut across back then.

With your OCD you could at least have given me credit for the matching flippin tyres [emoji849]

A driveway halfway up that climb passed the 'blue barn' at the back of Eye of Africa

I thought matching tyres was a given ????...surprised you couldn’t hold out with the odd tyres until our next ride ????

Sneaky photo ????????
