Where has your bike taken you today?

No where ...

Business day ended in Robertson.  I wanted to take the bike along ..... weatherman predicted significant rain in the area.

There were a faint mist in the air when I stopped for my meeting.  Bone dry, hot and very humid for the rest of the day, with a stiff breeze.

Sitting at Rooiberg I sorely missed my bike .... will teach me for trusting the weatherman.

I travelled sown to Siphofaneni, a town in the Kingdom of Eswatini on tarmac. For 47km then hit gravel for 40km and the rest of the road home was tarmac as well, 25km of it. A chilled solo cross country ride totaling 112km at an average speed of 18km/h taking me 6 hours to complete. The scenery was amazing while riding in the bush.

line runs from Saldanha to Sishen/Kathu. There's a service road along the 900km with a total elevation gain of just 3000m. used by the longest train in the world (says wikipedia) at ~3.75km long

Awesome bike !  I would love to get my hands on one of those frames or even a 2017 - 2021 model frame to upgrade my 2013 RM Element but they are as scarce as chicken teeth 😥.

If I may ask where did you get hold of this bike?

Long story but I bought a C30 and had it shipped to my place in Singapore from Brunei. Then switched all the parts over from my BMC. I would have kept the BMC but it was too big for me.

The 2022 Element is a different bike from the previous Elements. More of a trail bike then XC. Most fun bike I think I have ever owned. Particularly on steep downhills.

I would recommend going with a 2022 or newer if you can find one or waiting for one to pop up.

I'm searching for a long time now and no luck yet 😞.  Will keep looking though ....

I'm with you on the 2022 frame, slacker head angle, closer to a trail bike, but I will take one model older also hands down IF I can find one.

There was a 999 RSL 2017 on the hub about 2 years ago, I wasted to much time and it was sold from under my nose ... 😥.  Since then there were one or two others but nothing in a L or XL frame 🙈.
