Saturday riding the Tranquilitas Trails in Waterval Boeven, thanks Henning for the route suggestions, lots of singletrack and great views.

Sunday spent gravel grinding and exploring up and down the escarpment below Lydenberg, long brutal climbs and lots of time to fully address the (in hindsight) dumb reasons for not having put the 32T chainring on for the day.

Went for a training ride and got served some humble pie on the tiniest of berms at Paul Cluver. Nothing a few stitches, antibiotics and a tetanus injection wont fix.

 

Luckily my riding partner had a medikit with him.

Everyone falls, even the skills coach

 

I'll even go as far as saying that if you are not falling every now and then you are not pushing your limits, and not progressing as fast as you can.

 

I don't know any really good riders that haven't had some ugly falls.
