The ivy tells a different story and it is really smart ivy that.......it grows on the walls of UCT - it knows stuff us stupid humans don't ! ChrisF Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Been spending a few days at Bontebokpark, outside Swellendam. Before doing our booking I checked if we would be allowed to cycle in the park, on the game viewing roads. Turns out they now even rent out MTB's at Bontebokpark NO - there are no dedicated MTB trails with burms and jumps etc .... YES - you are allowed to ride on the same roads that other guests to park are allowed to ride on. Thus at first glance gravel grinding. And certainly yes, lots of gravel grinding ... and then you get to those sections where vehicles with higher ground clearance are recommended, where the front wheel drivers have spun out some decent corrugations !! Long sections with layers of loose pebbles .... LEKKA !! You had better be alert and on top of your game. View from our challet Some of the easy sections and with any luck this is what you can expect to see along your ride ... The view in the camp early in the morning these is the 20km loop we did (many other options available) samson99, BigDL, Zatopek and 4 others 7
