My bikes still keeping me sane and busy 😎

Not much to take pictures of on the Highveld in Winter/Autumn, nothing pretty to my mind anyway. Besides the sky which is always a brilliant shade of blue!

Just a short amble round the suburb this morning, needed to make sure this front tubeless 'settles' ... not a great rim or tyre to work with 😟

To the most distance on a bike in a year since I started keeping record.

On track to reach my goal for both distance and elevation in a year.

I've only made the graph go back to 2017, anything further back is irrelevant

yeah I've already sort of decided that after March next year I'm going to slow it down a tad, maybe do longer rides on the weekend to make up for it, but the 4am wake ups every day take their toll, on me and the wife, as she tends to wake up when i do and then struggles to get back to sleep.

My mrs is the opposite.
Opens eyes.  Roll them.  Sleeps further.

Early morning rides do have their advantages.
We have seen many many owls on our meanderings.  About 3 weeks ago I came across a porcupine in the neighborhood in Faerie Glen.
No traffic
Nice and cool in summer
