Rooibergpas, my beautiful country.

Â đŸđŸđŸŒ”đŸ‘Â 

Built in 1928 under the supervision of the Divisional Council of Oudtshoorn, it joins the tiny village ofVan Wyksdorp with Calitzdorp over the Rooiberg Mountain. It is best navigated with a high clearance vehicle as it contains some fairly rough sections.
At 14 kms, there are a total of 69 bends, corners and curves which include 6 hairpins and many other bends with a turning radius in excess of 90 degrees radius. The pass has an altitude variance of 509m over a distance of 14 km.

Oh so that's what it looks like - been there 4 times, never seen it -  it's always the middle of the night when I ride my bike there - it's like ouberg in the tankwa - Been there twice - viewed it  the 5 meters at a time - the pool of light in front of my wheel .....
