Steilte Trails, for a shuttle day.

This is me trying to get comfortable with jumps that are not tabled. After a nasty off and concussion a few years back, I've had a firm dose of the "Nopes" on any jump / drop that isn't a roller or table.

This was the first attempt. Not a big one, I'll admit, but it's a step in the right direction.

By the end of the day, I was landing just in the shaded section there, which is about 7 or 8 metres.

Jumping.... On my list of things to do..... Going to start with an annual park subscription to Giba. Then I just have to load up and get there....

Wam, bam, thank you ma'am...

In four days (Germiston to Durban), I've done 10% of my total Km's for the year.
Lesson to be learnt: I need to get more riding done.

Saturday's ride (Ladysmith to PMB, via Nottingham Road Brewery (and a Whistling Weasel - pale ale). For a non-drinker, I really enjoyed that pint.

Then, just a little further on, the real thing! It was already dead when I got there, but believe you me, it gave me just as big a fright as if it were alive!

Puff adder? And when you step on one his name will be changed to "poef adder" because I will definitely be ?¥!££!₩$ myself.

I would like to do this next year...ride down to Amashova..

It's such an awesome experience - the guys were already planning for 2016 in the "taxi" on the way home. No "I'm never doing this again" comments from a single person.

We passed two groups that were part of a tour company, and I know of three other self-organised groups like ours. So there's no shortage of riding groups.

The only thing to consider is a backup pkan in the event of bad weather conditions. Day 1 (225km) would have been much harder/longer if we had a head wind.
