Back in the saddle for the first time since 94.7.. (Spent a week lying on a pool side lounger drinking beer ^_^ )

Has an insanely fun ride at VG this morning... trails are packed, fast and have more flow more than beer taps at the Oktoberfest!

didn't get round to taking any decent pics, but had to share this... the drought situation is really bad.

I'm always so jealous until I think of the Lowveld summer heat

ha ha ha, Luckily it was only a mere 18'C. Not like last week or the week before. Deep in the 40'c

Something different for a change - Observatory "Streetopia"!

Lower Main Road is car free for today! Rock bands are playing, a mural invited us to re-imagine our city! There sure are enough creative types to re-imagine the world! Including bikes as main transport! On the corner of Lower Main and Trill Roads I could see a Rasta  playing reggae on one sidewalk while a Buddist monk stood watching and a Muslim couple in full burka walked past. We were drinking beer as the street artists painted the tar and the activists wrote their messages in chalk! What a wonderful place!

Stuka actually come with most times for the slower short rides.

this was a bit of a selebration so we took him with.

if he is there we have to go slow on the jeeptrack down since we dont want to run a dog as big as him fast downhill..but once we get to the bottem on the single track we go flatout again
