One of my favorite places now. Waterberg game lodge and surrounds.

Did a bit with the kids

Then a long ride on the district roads.

Have you been out to the Lindani lodges? I understand they are in the same area (Melkrivier)... If so, how is their network of trails? I hope to be going that side a bit later this year.

Have not been there.

Mainly spent time on the hilly roads in WGL. Added a loop 'around the block' to add distance. 75km today????

Because apparently when you've got to 'adjust', you've just got to do it :)

Floating bridge in Brakpan, but it's so dry at the moment it's just a bridge :(

Had our Local Prawn Carnival's, Big 5, 60km MTB Race this weekend. Awesome Scenery and a very fast flat race..

Even had a fellow hubber ( Mike Bike) joining me on the 60km ride.

Both of us were Sock Doping in our Jelly Bean Versus Socks. ( Who says us Hubber's doesnt think alike  :whistling:)

Saturday was a chilly start to the USN race at red barn.

Went along nicely till steering felt a bit weird... Abandoned the race at 30km, as my fork's steerer decided it wishes to part ways with the rest of the fork. So it's pretty much forked.

Which led me to get the Zeus ready to thunder along the roads of the cradle.

I am sure I broke every roadie rule in the book:

1) rode with baggies

2) rode with spd's still filthy from yesterday's MTB ride

3) trailseeker socks

4) helmet with peak

5) long fingered gloves

6) 20 something year old tubbies ( pretty impressive)

Lemme tell you, this 10 speed thing is not to be taken lightly, kinda understand the hype when it came out. Not used to the speed on the tar, and at certain stages I was thinking, why the fark am I doing this without leathers... Hitting the tar at this speed seems like a very bad. Idea with no protection...

I can confirm that once again steel is indeed real, such a lekker comfortable ride.

All in, I can see myself doing the tar riding thing again, at the moment I have no choice.
