How accurate are garmin's ? Do they pick up the wind chill factor ?

All I know it was k@k cold yesterday . And I detest winter, But I have a riding mate that Loves the early morning.

 

He has tried to get me out in the dark....but it ain't happening. Kudos nsbb

I have no idea and trust me like you I am NOT a winter person .... but on weekends to prevent any strife I do the early rides .. happy wife happy life my friend 

 

Fortunately however during the week I can ride at the warmest part of the day

To take my car in for a service. Last time it took an hour and a half to get home as I was the last person to get dropped off. Today I left the bike rack in the car and even extended the ride to include some hills to get some discovery points

I even found a little fixer upper in the Vale.

Over the weekend I just went from the reserve gate up a hill and back down again. 10km and 611m of climbing one way. First half has a 11% avg gradient, second half only 3%. Coming back down was a blast though!

Road bike presumably? I don't trust that road. Too narrow to ride on the tar. Mtb is easy as you can pedal next to the road. I head out to Elim on the gravel roads. Peace and quiet and very beautiful.

Chasing the sun in Magalies on a Monday afternoon ride....You can really feel the air temp drop as you head into town!

The old Blaaubank mine is in the distance to the left, sadly local rumour has it they will be starting with open cast operations soon....more trucks in Magalies we dont need (apparently the ore will be transported to Randfontein)
