This guy is in Europe, and I am sure he will come to South Africa if the price is right ... benefit is that he can also train you outdoors if you wish! ????

Fitness Instructor Certificate - European Personal Training Institute

This is currently an Achilles heel in my training. Not only lazy, but also lack the knowledge to do it with the correct technique.

Have read thru the thread, couldn't find anything on knee and elbow gaurds.

Would they attract 40percent tax?clothing category

Or fall within bicycle equipment?

Or depending what the store puts on the paperwork?

Want to clarify, when buying full bicycle from Europe, obviously when shipped it will be taken apart.

Does this mean it's classified as parts or still full bicycle?

Believe only 15 % vat applicable if comes as parts versus full bike has potentially increased tax

Or depending on what the shop adds as description on invoice/waybill

My current Calc is purchasing price +20% includes shipping, admin and vat.

Speak to the shop and ask them if they would be willing to give you an invoice listing all the parts and frame separately?

They will still need to provide the correct code that describes the contents of the invoice though.

And get them shipped a week apart - I’ve managed to do this

Think I will ask them about doing this , I'm sure they have had request like this before.

Apparently full bike is 30% plus vat of 15%

Two delivery and admin fees will still be cheaper than 30% tax on full bike

If not a complete bicycle the invoice must state each component with code and country of origin.
good luck getting a shop to do that for you

Hi guys. Looking to import a helmet from Wiggle.

Helmet costs $100. Any idea on the tariffs that would be applicable on this purchase?

I recall the duties being 40% on clothing + VAT still to be considered as well

Don't do it! Just buy local, less headaches. I bought a Smith Rapha Edition helmet from the UK. Paid R3000 including shipping but ended up paying R1800 on top of that in duties and taxes.
