  1. I've had an Icetoolz pair for years. Such an under rated tool in the box, just buy one, makes things so much easier, even if you only use it a couple times a year. The fishing one you posted is like many of the bike version. Though the hardware store version will work. Home mechanic doesn't need a Parktool version, though I would very much like one.
  2. Tekro uses the same shape as the Shimano Deore range. Cheapest I found was Bike Addict, bought a couple sets for the cupboard. https://bike-addict.co.za/collections/brakes/products/shimano-br-mt61-resin-brake-pads-spring
  3. Droo has, got a bunch from him last time I needed.
  4. Sure I've got some that will work for a commute bike in storage. I'll go check in the week. I stay in Bergvliet
  5. Second for iRide Africa
  6. Sounds like the question is more what kind of bike you want and what kind of riding you want to do 100 to 130mm are likely design for different kinda riding. The 32 is still good at 100mm, anything over 120mm and the 32 gets a bit noodle like and you want the extra stiffness. If you a recreational rider go for the comfort and geometry that 130mm will likely give you. Maybe tell us what bikes you considering where your ride.
  7. Contact Pyga directly, they normally pretty good with support.
  8. If you can find a set of Giant OEM 26" wheels, they can be had cheap, not the lightest but are indestructible and a lot of them came out with 15mm Thru axle up front and QR rear. If you in CT and need a hand and tools building, drop me a PM.
  9. Also watching... Got a cheaper Shimano stamped 203mm (metallic compatible) rotor up front I want to replace, as I feel its letting down the braking performance.
  10. Sorry for your loss. Which Rockshox did you have up front? Pic shows Fox suspension.
  11. I don't have one of those unfortunately, but you will definitely pick one up at a bolt and fastener supplier. In the Cape we have the likes of Bolt Fast, Top Fast, Bolt it. You may just need to grind down the thread length a little if you can't find 8mm
  12. I had a couple I brought in from the East, but as mentioned, they didn't last long. The idea is great though. Cable ties and also made a couple metal p-clip tabs that screw under the bottle cage bolts is what I did in the end
  13. Do you have a pic of the bolt? Got a couple bust up shifters here that might have what you after?
  14. Made a couple things, most things that take force don't last, clamps etc, the layers delaminate. Some of the useful things I have made and use often are the Shimano hollowtech tool and a fork seal driver.
  15. Ask for the 2RS version which denotes rubber seals on each side rather then steel like in your link above
  16. Replace
  17. Some owners are also just stupid though, saw a Levo left on a bike rack last night, no chain or cable, only the clamp lock on the top tube which are know to do nothing at all.
  18. Get some Magnetec 5w30 from your local Midas etc Would avoid fork oil for the lowers. There are a couple threads about oil alternatives. Droo will be along shortly with more info
  19. Their home Cobrata blend makes a seriously good flat white
  20. Last torque wrench my dad checked out at Cash Converters was a decent Geodore unit, but when asking the sales person, they said it's great, it just doesn't read accurately.... as if they didn't know what the use of the wrench is for. Look out for Teng Tools, very good product and they often run specials. Comes with a calibration certificate. I bought a cheap AutoZone 20-210 torque wrench from CC for just over a hundred bucks, still need to do a calibration on it, but basically just use it at 40-50nm for cranks and cassettes.
  21. https://www.backyardbrewcoffee.co.za/ Found these guys at the Under the Trees market on the weekend, running some specials. Chatted with the owner a bit and bought some Nicaragua and their Cobrata blend. Keen to try it out!
  22. I bought the Ryder 6nm unit. They about R210 and super hand for those bar clamps and stems etc
  23. Dremel tool or needle file will sort out that insert quick quick. I important thing is that there is already a hole in the frame, so you are not modifying the frame. Otherwise toss the entire insert and just a grommet of sorts around the cables.
  24. Buy tools individually as you require them I'd say. Start with the basics Cassette removal tool Chain whip External BB tool Spline BB tool (for square taper) Crank extraction tool (for square taper) Cable cutter - This is essential Chain breaker Cone spanners (if you run cup and cone bearings)
