I did not read the whole thread so not sure if it was mentioned however is there anyway to watch TDF properly without having dstv. I don't mind taking a 1 month subscription to watch online

Then GCN needs to make it very clear that the expect me to lie about my geographical location before so readily taking my money. 😉

Besides, DSTVs rights to the broadcast has no bearing on the quality of the feed being catered for by GCN+. If a VPN resolves the problem then it's between GCN+ and their infrastructure support this region. If tomorrow is as unwatchable as today then I'll likely cancel. I refuse to pay for what was, at best, a radio broadcast today.

Interesting... While many has stated a VPN fixed their bad... I watched some the DHI and no issues with quality... I then switched on the VPN to watch not live Dauphine. No issues...

While i can understand your frustration... R709 for the year for a GCN+ subscription is about 2 months of bad coffee...

Splitting that between me and my brother means it'll probably cost more effort trying to cancel. If i could suggest... Perhaps share your login with someone you willing to and or trust and see if their quality is the same as yours... Provided they on their own network of course

  3. Hey sorry to hear about your incident like my brother has said i use the opposite subway atleast 4 days a week to get work via Rhodes Mem.

If you don't mind me asking

Do you know if they were on foot or by car ? Do you think they may have followed you ? I ride passed the primary school so it's generally busy again I'm there in week so it is busier there anyway.

There's been similar incidents higher up, closer to Newlands forest especially on weekends and at places where people are alone and isolated. So i suspect these guys(i want to call them something else) are driving around weekends.

The area should have CCTV's close and around the area may show the routes of these guys. SAPS probably won't do much, but if there's Security Teams in the area could help monitoring these guys...

I was unsure what constituted a Gran Fondo, so I Googled it:

The Italian Cycling Federation defines Gran Fondo as

    • at least 120km long (75 miles)
    • chip timed from start to finish

So, genuinely curious, does anything over100km constitute a Gran Fondo, in S.A.?
    Cheers

    Chris

Nope not only in SA rather it's a Strava thing. It used to be 120km no idea what changed... Might be another thing worth Google 'ing

We got shuttled to the top and rode down into Martigny (Switzerland) and on another occasion to Saint-Cyen(Italy) will see if i can some pictures
