Called The Boomslang. Fantastic design, engineering and building project which won them some awards. Sadly, just for walkers.

irony is that the engineer for the bridge is a rather good cyclist....and all round nice guy to boot

I just have to add that the single track that was built on Kirstenbosch land, both the loop below the top gate, and the link taking you through the top of the garden, connecting the SANParks controlled areas of Cecilia Forest with Newlands Forest, are ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. Well thought out, well built, fun, sustainable. Makes me wonder who exactly did it!  :thumbup:  :clap:

He was the first guy to employ me when I had finished studying.

My 1st Xmas bonus was an old set of MTB wheels he had in the corner. They saved me from changing switching between road and mtb tyres twice a week. In fact, he loaned me money to buy my first MTB - a Produx demo model  :thumbup:

This trail was apparently built by the Kirstenbosch manager who is a keen biker himself
