For the clever okes. If like mars we did not have a sea, then mt everest would be measured from what is the bottom of the ocean, and not from sea level. Which one would be bigger then?

Edit. Maybe if i looked at the picture properly I would not ask such ridiculous questions

The only issue with this that Mauna Kea is a single mountain that has formed on the abyssal plain so this mountains height can be taken from the abyssal plain. The distance from summit to the base of the abyssal plain at the -5500m isobath is only 85km.

Mount Everest however cannot be measured to the abyssal plain as Everest is surrounded by other mountains in the mountain chain, as well has having 1500km between it and the Bay of Bengal ...

THANK GOD you cleared that up!

I HATE it when people don't take the abyssal plain into consideration!

This press was built in 1953 for aerospace manufacturer Lockheed Martin, but has since been converted for bicycle manufacturing. One of the advantages of this system is that different durometer pads can be substituted to alter shapes.

Happy Mothers day to all the moms out there. If you are one of those that do not want children (now) look at the following contraception option.
