Then I mentioned to him that the "Windows errors" he described was probably the reason I could not see my new events company website. I asked him if he could see it. "Sure, no problem. What's the URL" "lemonparty.org" <- FOR EVERYTHING THAT'S HOLY DON'T GO THERE! NSFW Stunned silence. F you. Phone thrown down. I've never had another phonecall from Microsoft tech support ever again. Not quite the same, but, about a year back I got a call from Telkom Mobile (or one of their resellers) trying to flog some useless package to me. Unfortunately for the person calling I had some free time and the guy chose his words badly and told me I can have a free tablet, so I said I'll take it, then added the part about the SIM and contract so I told him I wasn't interested in that but was happy to provide my address for delivery of my free device. The conversation went round in circles with me telling him I now insist on my free device that he promised me. I did the exact same thing, insisting on the free phone they had promised me but not the contract that went with it.
