Can't remember if I'd posted this before. Found it whilst cleaning out image archives.... Pano shot taken during a route recce for a training camp.
Border of SA and Lesotho, total climb equates approximately 12km to get to this spot. Descent is similar distance and winds down to the valleys below. Kilometres of raw backcountry style riding over a variety of abandoned cut road, rocky cattle track and sand stone. Much of the time you're quite close to the river which demarcates the border, so cell phone signal is turned off.
Between the weather and terrain features you literally cross between two different worlds in the opposing valleys. One of my most memorable and purest ride routes, every time.
