They come like flats , bjt you have to cut away a section to get to the cleat mount (very weird at first )

how do they ride with flats again once you have cut out and fitted cleats .... or do you need to remove the cleats when running flats?

You could remove cleats and it should be okay but since that ehole patch is noe missing i wouldn't advise it

Horribly... once that cut out is gone they are clipless through and through. I've been riding a pair for about a year now, won't buy them again though. Quality is good, but LOTS of flex in the sole. I'd want something between a Kestrel and the Maltese Falcon next time I buy.

And this was in the box .... my old SS wheels axel broke again, and I could not find a spare anywhere, so an engineering firm has been turning a new one for me .... but this is / was getting expensive. Given that they have done over 20K mileage I recon it was time for a new set.

 

Introducing the SS / flip flop wheels from ROOK. Novatec hubs with nice bolts and axels. Comes with both a fixed cog and freewheel fitted.
