There is a short, gentle uphill segment I have occasionally held as 30 sec of flat-out is my sweetspot.

It has taken about 6 years for the KOM to drop from 35sec to 28sec and then last week it dropped to 18......

How is the recovery coming along FL? Back on the bike yet?

It's going WAY better than I could have expected physically, thanks Skubarra - I'm only about 10 percent off my fitness level pre-crash - exactly 6 months ago! I was only off the bike for 2.5 months which was long enough though :)

Mentally it will still take a while to get sorted as I get mood swings, emotional, irritable, etc. but the good news is that I'm aware and can correct my actions. Trauma / depression comes and goes... but happy with the support I'm getting, especially at home :) I'm in a positive mindset most of the time so that helps.

I find Strava PR’s incredibly motivating, especially as I get older. I love the live segments feature on my Garmin which allows me to compete in the moment against a mate who is faster than me on that segment or my own PR if I am the fastest out of those I follow, which is rare.

So was checking out Toolbox for Strava for the first time just not. It has a feature that analyses your KOMs and compares you to a pro rider. Guess who I got.
