Just read all 7 pages - JESUS H KEEERISTE but you lot can find some wonderfully inane topics for jousting! Banana peels!! Who would have thought they could stir up such controversy?  Every time I go to Food Lovers I am going to be triggered stukkend.

Keep it up - this thread is fantastic

This guy threw his gel wrappers today. I asked him if he only litters in races,or if it is part of his normal life. Apparently he saves it for races...

This same shirt was spotted at today’s MTB race... *whistling*

Let's see if he makes a habit of this. Will have a lookout at your race

Unfortunately another threw his half used gel down directly next to him in the middle of the bunch and directly under my front wheel - I was P'ed off but he seemed to ignore my "LITTERBUG DW!S" chant.

At Carnival City Macsteel National Classic 2018 BL group - Rider number BL 948.

Well done you are now famous - was hoping to get a picture of his number from Jetline but alas - unidentified.

On the subject of littering, they handed out water sachets at WP's on the Carnival MTB race, judging by the empty sachets i saw littered along the route and quite a distance from the WP some riders must have taken them stuffed them in their shirts only to use them later and discard the empty sachet.

Yep, saw the same thing as carnival road race. looked like johannesburg's version of bluewater bay's blue bottles!

What happened to those organic water balls they used at a past running or cycling event? Should be mandatory. You either have your own water container or take a water ball or tough sh*t...

Im pretty sure I probably did it once, and my mother saw it once...because i can not recall ever feeling the urge to litter EVER again.

Heads up, will be riding Tshwane classic... permission to toss banana skins into grass on side of the road? The rest goes home with me

Based on a recent thread, I think a fair answer is yesn't.

I rode the macsteel last week with 3 banana's in cycling shirt pockets. It was definitely a lot harder to store the peels again thanks to the elastic pocket rims, but no one could flame me. At the finish line medal hand out I quickly emptied the peels into the bin and life went on.

But that's where you went wrong - you have to throw you peels on a compost heap and not in the trash can.
