I don’t buy his excuse.

I suffer, every year at the change of seasons, with sinusitis. Salex, Iliadin and Vicks vapour rub in hot water (to steam) works like a charm. Iliadin is on the clean list, and is very easy to look it up.

Yeah I'm 100% with you. I'm an amateur old man and I'd know that this is gonna be illegal. Too convenient and way too predictable ....

This "involuntary" rubbish is just that. Opened container is OK but a closed one not? Hang em high I say!

Although I get that it appears cynical on the part of the rider to suggest contaminated supplement , it does happen and is always difficult to prove because most of the offending material has been distributed and consumed. There is also no guarantee that the retained sample at the manufacturer’s facility is fully representative of what went out of the door either by the very nature of the sampling process. It’s literally a needle from the haystack representing the haystack.

in addition, we may argue that why does it only happen to a professional athlete…? They must be doping right!?

Well  consider how much supplement is sold and to whom. Professional athletes are the most tested people but the smallest % of the population so there is the scenario where most of the contaminated sample is absorbed into sub4 hr Argust aspirants bloods streams where it will never be found even if they walked up to a WADA official and begged them to test.

this does not through healthy scepticism out of the window but it should provide some food for thought as the whale oil is ordered from Scamazon for those  pitch forks to be sharpened

Not doping but large scale cheating!

Quote

The 2023 Mexico City Marathon, which took place on Sunday, Aug. 27, has been overshadowed by another widespread cheating scandal, resulting in the disqualification of approximately 11,000 runners for failing to complete the required distance on the designated course. There were 30,000 runners in the race, so that means more than a third of all runners have been disqualified.
