Dopers suck

Looks to me that there was prizes involved. Or does the value now matter?

If he won, he would have take something away while on suspension.

blah blah blah.............

Answer this question? Is Kevin Evans participating.......blah blah blah

And there is lies the MORAL dilemma.

Why do it if you know you did wrong by the sport?

If it was me, I would have hanged my head in shame and spent the rest of my days riding alone in the forests thinking about life.

But that is just me.

Why impose your lifestyle choices on others? Are you that insecure?

It would appear the problem is your logic circuits have short circuited....

Feels like a conversation with Trump.

Answer this question? Is Kevin Evans participating in events to win prize money or to enjoy riding his bike ?

Now don’t make up stories like you are trying to do to me. Be honest

Ok, Putting your ad hominem attack aside. ( Did you know that an ad hominem attack is considered a logical fallacy? )

You keep calling K2C a "fun ride". But it's not called that anywhere on their website or facebook page. By there own description, it's a race.

The Buco Lions Karoo to Coast is a 100km offroad race from UNIONDALE to KNYSNA via the Prince Alfred's Pass and is not for the faint-hearted.

It doesn't matter if there is prize money for millions or not. It's still a race.

Now regardless of whether they follow CSA rules or have CSA sanctioning. It's probably a good thing for them to have anti doping rules. The don't. By not having any doping rules, and by having a rider serving a SAIDS ban compete, they are implicitly saying they have no problem with people doping.

You might say what's the problem with that? The problem is that it spoils the fun of the race for others. People want to do well in races, wether they are doing it for fun or as a professional. And if you are racing against dopers, you get put in this horrible position on whether to dope your self, or just quit.

Bottom line is: doping is allowed in K2C.  I won't ride in any races where doping is allowed. If you want to ride in races where doping is allowed, aka "fun rides", go ahead. It's your life.

reading your previous posts directed at me the irony of your logic is decidedly Trumplike.

Why not direct some attention to your vets cat friends?

I guess we also won't see you at the Argust?

I guess you won't be entering the Cape Epic sometime soon. I'll remind you of your words for sure

More ad hominem attacks and straw man arguments...  Instead of just saying my logic is wrong, why not tell me where my logic is wrong.

I have no issue entering the Epic as they very strong anti doping rules. KE will never ride the Epic again, thanks to their life time ban on any riders with a sanction.

I have no issue entering the CTCT. They also have anti doping rules.

@DieselnDust,

What's up with you?

There's healthy debating going on and, yes, lots of emotional sentiment as cycling fans around here want to follow and adore hard working and honest professional athletes.

Yet, you make relentless sarcastic remarks or cheap shots at contributors here.

Dunno hey.

It's not in a lekka spirit.

@DieselnDust : I just want to say one more thing and then I'm out of here.

I don't wish bad on KE. I've never meet him, but I'm sure he is a lekker guy. I can see how life is very tough for professionals. He has flaws, but so do I. I know first hand how remedial cycling is, and I hope he has many more km to ride and enjoy, but just not at races.

Rules exist for a reason. Rules are not emotional (unlike posts in this thread). Rules are black and white. How they are applied is sometimes grey.

K2C chose to apply the rules in black and white.

CTCT and Epic are sanctioned events. KE can't compete there. Can't even enter.

Other events, e.g. K2C are not sanctioned and therefore apply their own rules. May not even have doping control. I have no issue with that as its not an event that sponsors will consider as its not sanctioned.

Sanctioned or not sanctioned. I no reason to complicate it further than that.

If you prefer to complicate then start a campaign against the organisers and win the public opinion to change the rules. AS I see it no one has broken any rules.

On the matter of morals,....well thats neither here not there as everyone has their on concept of morals. Yet because i don't agree with you,you chose to chose my morals for me and trash that.

I don't think the problem lies with me, the organisers of events that allow convicted dopers to participate for fun, or the dopers in this matter. Everyone has freedom of choice. Thats the beauty of living in a free society.

I have a very anti-doping stance and would love to see more getting caught, especially those in the Sub-vets, vets and master cats.  I don't like the K2C stance hence I did not enter the event and doubt I ever will again until they clarify their postion on doping control. I still have no issue with a convicted doper riding the event because I have confidence that the system will find them out again if they cross the line. Serve the sentence, paid the price and move on. What to race again, then play by the rules. The event isn't a sanctioned race so I don't care who participates.

But, I do respect their rules and that its their event to do with as they please.

You don't see me suggesting what their morals are and trashing them because I don't agree with them. That would be commin
