that sportive on Sunday is going to fall JUST inside 5 months so at least 500 people (sold out) there will have some sort of seeding i guess.

also...not everyone is on strava so screw that haha. i'd rather they just use 2019's seeding then.

2020 actually.... :)

we did have an Argust just before lock down or has everybody forgotten already?

Entered last minute and super excited - Covid has taught one to experience the familiar with new appreciation and it feels a bit like my first ARGUS (perhaps also because it is going to be a different kind of thing this year).

More importantly, I read somewhere that there will be no hospitality at the finish and now I'm wondering: if one were to take a quick, INFORMAL rest on the lawns at Seapoint Stadium after finishing, and there was to be the odd coincidental beer stand, and one were to guence one's thirst, and one were to  - over the required 1.5m distance - share a few quick thoughts on the race, and consume another quick beer, and perhaps grab a quick bite from a passing mobile Spur Burger "waentjie", would that constitute a problematic mass gathering? ????

last minute? isn't the august in october this year?

2020, the year, never happened, historians will show the time line as 2018,2019,2021  :)

Yeah but I think entries have closed already. I saw a post on their social media last week about max entries were almost reached and were closing soon. But I think it was more that they just had a closing date and not so much the max number was up.

I often find myself talking about "last year" we did this or we did that................only to then realise that I am talking about 2019. Weird to have time "redacted" in the head like that.

by the way I got confirmation that ranking has been made from individual times from mat to mat, so I did lose A LOT of time from starting first

fyi seedings from PPA Sportive #1 seem to have been calculated

I wont believe it to much, they have not reset the beta of CTCT 2020 to 1 yet, so will influence this seeding.

Did anyone pick up on the cancellation policy?

If 18000 entries are cancelled...... lot of money

they will most likely give you the option to transfer your entry to the next CTCT, hoping that most of the 18000 entrants will take that option.

Is Strand Street the new start? As in the same place we have started the last 2/3 years?

Or is this another spot?

The 43rd edition of the Cape Town Cycle Tour, presented by Pick n Pay is scheduled to take place on 10 October 2021. This year will see riders roll over the start line in Strand Street with a revised format and reduced participant numbers, but the iconic route stays the same. It's the only day in the year where you get to pedal the Peninsula and take in the beauty of the city and coastline on closed roads while at the same time generating much needed funds for those who are less fortunate.
