How much money (to @Swannie87) are we talking about (if he owns everyone R7500 collectively it can't be all that much!)? What happened to the money that Swannie paid to yeti? Did yeti sell another phantom bike to his daughter?

Swannie, you are for more patient than I am buddy. Good luck.

So hold on I"m trying to get this straight.

The frame and fork were advertised for 5k??

I assume the OP paid the 5k.

Another hubber paid him a R500 deposit.

So he scammed a 3rd person out of R2000?? (The balance)

Please please please explain @ysteryeti, if you are "not a scammer", How did you initiate the sale and willingly take money from 3 different people for the same item?

Promised to pay me on Monday , he’s waiting for payment from his daughter.

don’t know what bank transfer takes 4 days 🤷🏻‍♂️

The money may be coming from a fixed savings account or the like.

Why after you accepted money from at least 2 interested buyers, which is already a red flag, did not one of them receive the goods? You sir, are scamming.

And this is a reason for some sort of comment or button to indicate deal in progress or red flag etc. I understand hub dont want classified comments, but surely something can be added to indicate the above

trying to see it from the seller's side, as a plausible story.

Due to time frames/communication you could maybe give people your bank details and they dither a bit and then all THREE pay you for it concurrently. You now have that money in your account, and you really need to pay TWO of them back. Instead you buy a bit of time and purchase groceries (or pay back a Wonga payday loan).

Maybe you took all the money and put it on the springboks to win in adelaide, because you know the aussies got schooled in argentina and missing their captain?

Must be a bit embarrassing having your close to the bones liquidity all aired out in the public like this. But now you have a bike you wanted to sell, and even though three people gave you money for it, you're not going to sell to any of them. Not even drop the price to get some cash in asap.

ja, well, no, fine.

Saying you messed up and sorry is one thing, there's no way you can screw up with three people by mistake. I'd actually like to see a picture of the bike with today's paper in it, because I'm not sure it even exists. This is coming across as a desperate scam.
