What amazes me the most is how this clown thought this would be a believable performance.

Some time back I was asked to look at data and give my analysis on riders performances when the whole zwift racing became a big thing; this guy popped up, my analysis was there was no way it was legit and he would never be able to produce the numbers pushing out.

I got pretty heavily abused when I was vocal about it and some of his zwift mates chimed how it’s all legit and and.

fast forward to today

🤣 that opening line.

I know very well who his mate was that was defending him but I can't say it out loud. I basically gave up on Zwift racing because of these types of performances but especially from +-60 year old's kicking ass week in and week out

This is gold...

I mean, it's sad as heck, but the lead up powpowing makes it gold.

All the paid for IG followers of the vocal team mate must be upset....

Eddy Hoole or Eddy F.......

I entered ONE Zwift race .... was entering a Cat B race, but somehow messed up, and ended in Cat A

And so I watch the clock count down .... by the time I got onto the pedals these guys were dropping their spinning wheels like Flintstone could never do ....  They were around the corner before I even got into the saddle.

Needless to say I was lapped VERY quickly ..... first bunch flew past me so fast I nearly fell of the bike.  Now I got the hang of this, and watched the second batch closing in .... I was going FULL SPEED, in the red zone .... these guys came flying past me like I was stationary ....

Obviously was never going to hang onto A-bunch riders ... the speed difference was "realistically" x2 .... though more like x4 on screen ....

This.... most guys that did the math knew something was up. There are more out there. Don't take Zwift racing too seriously haha... obv UCI level guys do but at least ZADA does their thing.

If you are not doing 450w+ when banner drops you are out the back... it's a different beast. Lots to learn and took me months to get used to "how to"... it's why Pro's can't just jump on there and think they will perform. You need to learn how "the game works". It is a game.

He stole a KOM from me, do you think Strava will give it back to me? (seeing as he is a cheater/doper)

1s is doable... do some training and take it back. But don't go all out, so you can go even harder the next time. There was a dog/boet fight for a segment close by... the KOM hopped around between 3-4 people for about 6 months. Amazing what 4m MAP efforts can do for one's form (when it's time to do them).

That is my only problem with zwift racing. Too many suspicious performances.

Another thing, A batch riders sandbagging the B cat races. Even in WTRL B cat races. Okes smashing 14 w/kg sprints each of 6 laps and then sitting with a race average HR of 120 bpm🤷🏼‍♂️

I started online racing over 10 years ago (not with Zwift), it used to be great fun but as IDT became more and more popular so did it become more unbelievable…. Sadly it’s human nature to cheat and there is always at least “one drol in die drink water”

We even had a good group of hubbers doing regular races, see the link below. It was really great fun, sadly many of them are no longer active on the hub.

Thanks! I was not even aware of the online racing pre covid!

I have to say I still enjoy the online racing, but I have definitely learnt to not take it too seriously. The Wtrl series on zwift is mostly fair, I think.

The suffering has improved my fitness on the real bike outdoors, so that still makes the online suffering worth it😁

You're one of those that are strong on the IDT AND on the road. Some get dropped in all the real races but are suddenly consistently in the front when it's online 😅

I used to be decent online and *** in the real races on the old trainer/old power meter et now really really crap online and not too bad on the actual roads... go figure. Getting good Zwift results (cheating aside), seem to be very dependent to 1) the actual time you spend on the trainer to get used to it and match your outdoor numbers indoors), 2) wether your +/-2% power meter is -2% or +2% 😅.
