If I have my BikeHub history correct - Ben is Marks lightie and you guys helped provide him with that little red Giant, yes? He must have loved that experience with you guys! Nice one.

Indeed.

Must say that since Tokai has gone up, his fitness has suffered a bit. He still loves it though!

Took my little guy out for a ride this afternoon.Whilst trying to get some action photos I hit a hole in the jeeptrack and went OTB.Was comical seing my 4year old throw down his bike and run over to me asking me if I'm okay.

So taking this picpost-54774-1442519267,4743.jpgended up in this picpost-54774-1442519448,4217.jpgbut it was worth it.post-54774-1442519467,4793.jpg

The last pic made me think about the 2 choices in life, wide, straight and easy or the narrow winding road with obstacles.

Former for the up, latter for the down!!

Funny, took that pic because of 'how far' I had gone... The saddle between the hills at the end of the wide road is the turn around point, the start of the single is the start of the final 5km descent back to the car....

Visiting my brother-in-law in Caledon. Took a early morning ride to Grayton. At one stage I thought my head was freezing! Bluddy cold. Had some bake beans and eggs in Grayton before heading back. Not a easy ride. But lekker non the less

Brother got a puncture on the way back. Some amazing scenery.

Did a chilled ride past Brandvlei dam this morning with some mates.Unfortunately the ride was cut short by a puncture.Tried to 'trailfix' the cut with a wrapper, but the cut was to big to continue on.Went to McD's for a coffee instead.post-54774-1442682062,6405.jpgpost-54774-1442682092,4696.png

About the only thing that keeps a bad cut like that together is duct tape. One patch on the inside, Then pump it up enough to give the tyre shape, but soft enough that it doesn't bulge. Then a layer or 2 of duct tape over the tyre and rim on the outside before pumping it hard enough to ride. It will take you home but it looks terrible.

Years ago, when celebrating birthdays, 4:30am's and bottles were the order of the day.. Not much has changed...except the bottles I drink out of and now I'm waking up at 4:30 instead of getting home that time....

Had half a nice ride again today. At about 3km in my pedals decided to do this.post-54774-1442758594,1907.jpgLuckily I had a spare set in the bakkie, went back for them abd continued on our way.We started with a piece of single track just outside Rawsonville that joins up with the Stettyn dam road.Unfortunatly my brother-in-law took a OTB and landed back first on some rocks.Trying to act tough he said he was fine and we continued on towards the dam.post-54774-1442758931,7759.jpgAbout halfway we stopped for a breether,we could see he was suffering alot and he finally decided to drop the tough guy act,so we turned around and headed home.post-54774-1442759165,0059.jpg
