Most of the ride was ok until we got to Llandudno up to Suikerbossie. Our timing was perfect to enjoy a cloud burst 🥹

In contrast to the highveld, where we can ride in short sleeves, the longer sleeves used in the WP would indicate the sun hasn’t yet reached its full potential that side (yet). BTW, thanks for the wind 💨💨  😊🤣🤣

Yep, an everage ride temperature of 30°C on Friday would confirm the heat up here...

Spent the weekend in Vredendal.

 

GOOD to see the sun for a change.

 

But still far from summer !!!

 

Saturday ride started in good clear weather .... but man o-man .... glad I was layered up !!

 

Barely 8 degrees average tempetature 😵

 

I could barely feel my left thumb to work the dropper post lever during the first 15km ... ❄️

 

5,1 degrees cuts DEEP at 60 km/h ....

 

Seems locals were prepared .... complete with anti-freeze at the water tables

 

 

 

Truth be told ... perfect cycling weather .... just tweak the zipp as the temperature differ along the route.
