actually turned sad when I saw the chopper and then news :(

That trail looks lekker. I see you mentioned in your youtube clip the trail is open to the public as 'free to ride'. Does this mean no Sanparks card is required? And also, is it a safe(ish) trail if you ride it alone? [disclaimer - I know that nowhere is safe]

Yes, it is free to ride....it is not on SANParks property, there are QR codes/Snapscan signs for donations, however and the funds go towards maintenance and I see there has already been development of additional trails lower down that are going to link up to create loops. Regarding safety, as you say, nowhere is safe but, it's fairly busy with bikers and walkers...that's all I can say.....it would be better to ride in a group, there have been no reports of issues...terrible but I have to add...YET.....

It's only fair to make a donation I'd say. To be able to ride on such an awesome and unique setting is worth every cent. To be able to do it on single track is just heavenly.

It is well documented that I dont take turns on the front.

My God given cycling talent is to sit slip

My training partner has lately been wearing these bibs. He refuses to wear anything else.

Whilst I find it disturbing but also slightly arousing, I think he is trying to tell me something. I refuse to go against my beliefs and take turns on the front.post-16512-0-93952300-1594377602_thumb.jpeg

I agree ... I am a SRAM kind of guy, but those XTR socks allude to slick XTR drivetrains .. and they are kind of sexy

I'm looking at getting some black kit due to staining all my current kit (99% of which is sponsored and contains a lot of white) with mud and looking grotty. That image makes me nervous for two reasons:

  • I am of the hairy variety, so whomsoever should experience the misfortune of being stuck behind me may end up perma-vomiting to the point of dehydration and subsequent expiry should my shorts ever lose their opaqueness.
  • Maybe I should worry about other types of stains showing if I get black lycra stuck behind that image again....  ;)  (yes, I totally just went there)

Look for the "SexyGorilla" contact on your mom's phone if you ever want to connect.

I had either an unknown evil twin or a your-mom joke lined up... and I couldn't resist

Nothing like some new goodies for the bike to motivate one to get out and play in the mud. This photo taken during the only 5mins of sunshine the whole day.

Edit: Wrong thead, but I'll just leave it here. Rode at Wannabees since it's on my backstep and the only trail system close to me that drains well enough to ride in the wet without buggering up the trails.
