last ride was a week today. Been confined to the bed with COVID since.

My head really needs a ride right now, my heart reminds me its not ready yet every time I leave the bed.

Speedy recovery

Also off the bike ... my Dr told me to stay off for 10 days post vaccination .... rather, I was told to avoid strenuous exercise ... does that mean I may ride the e-bike. :whistling:

Still doing my daily walks, a LOT slower, and yet my hart rate certainly higher than normal !!  So walking slower and slower to keep it below 100bpm.

EDIT - just did a slow 4km on the trainer .... pure heaven .....

In many cases recovery is part of training. In this case the stress is not from riding, which is sad. Rest well, you need it now.

@ChrisFTwo roadies with dancing shoes and deep sections rolling with great efficiency? ????

nope .... was a single rider that had me wondering .....

What a stunning morning !!!  By the time I passed Klipheuwel the sun was lazilly raising its head over the mountains ....  the light play on the dew drops on the young grain crops .... the mist in the low areas ..... it was a visual FEAST for the almost 100km to Moorreesburg.

Was truly envious of the riders on their two wheels ....

Someone who farms in the Stormberg mountains near Jamestown, let me know that he recorded -17C on Monday night on his farm and just wanted to tell me to stop boasting about the -14 we recorded there once.
