Jonkers yesterday for some free gravity with the WPDH boys.

 

And a coffee run to Greenpoint this morning.

Did the Deloitte Cycle Challenge today. 40km in lekker cool weather. I would've stopped to take a pic of the sunrise along the route but I was thinking about my Strava recording, only to find out at the finish that my ride wasn't recorded on Strava, and I'm sure I pressed the start button on Strava on my phone at the start. Nevertheless, I'm happy with a time of 1 hour and 37 minutes - granted that I hadn't been on the bike in a month.

Did a 48km ride to Brandwag and Hartenbos. Saw quite a few motorbikes heading home, probably passed about 40 from Brandwag to Hartenbos and almost all of them were newish BMW GS and the tourer version road bikes. It would be interesting to know what the total value of the bikes were that attended the Buffalo rally.

EROICA South Africa! Epic day out around Montagu. Five punctures between the three of us (but we got home in one piece and before dark). Lovely long lonely dirt roads. Short fast tar sections. Lots of friendly comrades from around the world. Will post more in the Eroica thread once I've sorted through the masses of pictures. Make a note now: Buy an old bike, fix up your old bike, borrow an old bike, just don't steal one, and come ride with us next year!
