DM90 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Had a good time on the bike.. had some really strong okes in the 2B front bunch who took turns to drive the bunch at a good pace. Managed to do many pulls myself, a bit frustrating that many okes block you after taking a pull if you want to get back into the line. Thanks to the guys who gave way and thanked one for taking pulls. Emptied the tank after Suikerbossie with a small group to get that pretty gold medal. In that time I learned to stay close to curb on my right side. You will get a guy that will cycle 10m in front of you on your left side, then someone from his far left side will just decided that he want to go to the right side " to the other side of the road" and don't even check over his right side shoulder if it's clear, he will just go for it and in that process take the rider out that is on his right side, and this in a road where it's basically clear with riders scatter everywhere. The drop into Scarborough was dampened by a an accident of a gent and a lady into the ditch just after the first bend at the top, by the time we passed it the ambulance was not there yet ... Managed to get one last year in 1A and another one this year from the same group. Sometimes a higher seeding can be a curse. In 2024 I was seeded in & and got spat out like chewed tobacco. 2 years in 1A and sucess on both occasions. Moral of the story, trust the seeding!
