DC Medal hangers ... co-owner passed away 2 months ago .... they canceled for 2026, will be back next year.

 

Rapid Sports ... always nice.  Bought some gloves.  Few years back her kids were nippers ... eldest now in varsity and helping mom run the stand ... nice to see the new generation growing into it ....

 

 

So a day of mixed emotions at the Expo ....

I also went to collect the most overpriced paper bag I've ever had to carry. At least I got a fresh pair of gloves, rain jacket and water backpack from First Ascent at good prices so that I could warrant having to carry that very expensive paper bag. My daughter was stoked that I saved the ghost pops for her.

Mine from 2006 is faster by about 30 seconds (full suspension mtb), and I thought in 2008 there was a guy that took it (it's all so long ago it gets vague).

Just found him, Dana Coetzee in 2008 rode a 2:44:48 on a hardtail (Carbon Mongoose if I remember correctly) , he was solid that year.

yeah, Gavin's time was also full sus 29er on 2,4 mtb tyres.

So he's time is 3rd fastest on a full MTB. Dana's time is on a 26er IIRC

Well I've pinned the number to a jersey, chosen a pair of socks and zip tied my board to my bike. Watch out 1E - one tailgunning mamil en route.
