But if there’s one valuable lesson I am learning as I get older in life, it’s that sometimes it is better just not to type the comment, act like a know-it-all, or make others seem ignorant. I will personally not ride a bike in SA on the roads but that is me. The authorities need to step in, harsher punishments and responsibilities and before that happens I am afraid I cannot see a positive change unfortunately. I have personally had a friend pass away due to being hit by a motorist not paying attention. Cyclists must as well follow rules, be aware of surrounding etc as 2 wrongs never make a right. I was in SA now for 5 days quickly, what I saw on how motorists drive left me with Tourette in the car and at the same breath, some cyclists also did not do themselves favours.
