@shamangoofYou should be able to see the routes people frequent on Strava. As mentioned by @WR 1.0 you can ride Kaalrug.
In Hectorspruit (about 20 km away) there is nice riding on the farms. Contact Dirk Lourens from Dirk Lourens Cycles - I am sure he will be able to assist.
Here in Komatipoort we are spoilt - we can ride on some of the farms (only on some of them and only if you are a registered rider as these are working farms) - We can also ride to Marloth Park, luckily you can avoid the N4 when doing this.
You can even drive to Marloth Park and stop at one of the restaurants and do a ride. If you ride all along the fence you will be able to do 30km+. A nice bonus is that a big portion of this route is against the Kruger National Park.

Eish.
I am! Until proven otherwise.
I think they're not. Actually, I hope they not. I bust my a$$ trying to get within a year of them, hence I hate dopers.

That is not how Fridays work!
I am currently running Maxxis Ardent front and rear. The tyres have done nearly 4000 km and it looks like it is nearly time to replace the rear tyre. I ride mostly dirt roads and on tar to get to the dirt roads.
My question: Will the Crossmark give me better mileage than the Ardent?

Seriously tough guy. I hope he has better luck going forward in the race.

I think it is like rides not posted on Strava
I was on holiday during the Epic and maintained a low profile on social media to avoid too much news on the race. I just caught up with watching the highlights of all the stages - what an event! Must say the coverage is on a high level. I enjoyed it a lot.
Back to your discussion: I flew through all the stages in a couple of hours with a simple nutrition plan of beer and biltong, so I don't think this year was too tough

i ride 42/11-42 and it was perfect for me last year at ctct, i dont even think i used 42 before suikerbos. 50T you'll be going too slow to win anyway haha.
Isn't the 50 to add weight to give everyone else a (false) fighting chance? *Comic Sans*

Once linked to your card, you can use it to tap anywhere where you can tap with your card. I haven't run into any issues yet.

I’m an absolute noob when it comes to bikes with skinny wheels, but I have decided to give the June half iron man a go, and see how I feel about this whole triathlon thing. So I need to start shopping for a road bike. But I want to buy something relatively cheap, from the classifieds, but I have no idea what sizes to put into the search bar.
I have always ridden and felt more comfortable on Large frame MTBs, even thought I am borderline between L and M according to most brands sizing.
I am 1.78 but have relatively long legs, and that is probably why I prefer large MTBs. So what is the comparable size range in Road Bikes, and how specific is the sizing. can i look 1 cm up or down, and then make up the difference with seat position and stem length or doesn’t it work that way on road bikes. The simple fact that there are so many very specific frame sizes, makes me think it is pretty important to get it just right. Compared to the generic S-M-L-XL gaps with MTBs
Looking forward to advice/pointers.
I feel dirty going to a bike shop and getting measured up, even if I know I’m not even remotely considering buying from them…
Great question, @Limitseeker. I am also interested to hear the answer as my cycling has been limited to MTB. I am also considering getting a road bike.

@FoxyTake Robert up on his offer. From the bikes I have seen him advertised here and his willingness to help, I think you can't go wrong.
