Very brave man, what with Ford's fire issues and now their security problems too.

Stealing Ford's like crazy after the thugs have figured out how to gain access and bypass the security systems. Google a bit.......

Im curious, what do you drive?

If you're scared of your bakkie being stolen then your best choice is fiat or triton. But even my dad's Mazda was stolen (thief obviously had no self respect.)

My previous Ranger didn't even catch fire when I wrote it off, so I'll take my chances with the new one.

Ha! I knew there was a reason they were offering me 190k as a trade and 50k off retail on the new one.

Ah well.

That is a killer deal yes.

I drive a 2017 VW Caddy, awesome for carting bikes, garden crap, kids, pretty much anything and its locked up and secure inside.

Drove a 3.0 D4D Hilux double cab before. Miss the power but thats about it.

Ok you guys might have a laugh now, my father in law bought a single cab Mahindra and a double cab both 4x2. I must say that for what one pays you get a good deal. Loadbin on sc is so big I loaded 2 mtb's lying down flat without them touching each other. The engines are strong, 2.2 diesel turbo with intercooler, 6 speed manual gearbox, loads of extras in comparison price wise with other bakkies and I'm almost [emoji817]% sure that they will be at the bottom of the "desired" vehicle list. Factory guarantee 5 years 150000km. I just love my sc Gupta cruiser.

Park Tools rock!!! Even if you don't know what it is used for :)

BTW, that CRC Citric Cleaner that comes with that cyclone chain bath is AMAZING!

Never had anything clean my chain that well. Need to find another CRC bottle replacement now!

No laughing from me. I had a Tata Xenon and it was the best value for money car I've ever had.

Still doesn't beat Hyundai's 200,000km warranty. Best value for money, BUT they don't do a bakkie............

Saw a new Mahindra, nice looking car but would damage too many people's self perceived status's unfortunately.

I wont scoff at that. Solid Bakkie that. You loading two hikes in the back reminds me of the Kia k2700 I had, my only regret was not getting it with aircon.

I once put a double bed in the back and used it as a camper. Still had space for our bikes after I removed the front wheels.

I rate the Caddys. Especially the tdi's.

Wish my wife wasn't too snooty to drive one, now I need to lug a trailer behind her rally car (mitsu ASX) when we go on holiday. I think she fears the day that I park a kombi or bus in our driveway.

Bakkies are an acquired taste, and pretty unpractical for everyday life when not used to cart stuff around.

If I didn't need to regularly tow big loads and broken trucks I would probably have replaced my Kia with another corsa ute. I enjoyed mine immensely and not a single problem with it.

Bigger fanny pack that isn't really a fanny pack but takes 3l liquid and a fair large bit of kit for longer days, enduros featuring donkeys and keeping the back nice n' cool.

Kief.

Like something the special forces would use. Without the Kevlar?

And it doesn't look like something that uncle Joey would wear when taking the table mountain cable car.
