It is roumered that this is safer than cutting a cable tie with a pocket knife .... lest the pocket knife nicks the hydraulic hose and ends your race 10 minutes BEFORE the starting time .... If it makes you feel any better, I once cut off the bike computer cable on my dads' bike when removing his Argus number board.....felt so stupid ChrisF 1

At that moment, MAN .... just glad I kept my cool, and more so that King Cycles managed to repair the bike and that I could still do the event. Still doing the ride totally takes the sting out of my own stupidity .... PS - and just maybe another hubber learns from my schoolfees and keeps his Leatherman FAR away from his bike
