Tough day out! Rode a 2h26m06 from A and is my PB. Just annoying that my chip didn't register as I see I came in 5th.

As for the second lap, never again. It is chaos out there with the later "groups". It was fun and games for the first 40km, after that I was just gatvol. 3h45 for the second.

Crazy, and here I though I was cool for reaching 82km/h.

2:26 is awesome B!

2:58 is all i could manage on my 14 year old Eddy Merckx. (all my training was done on the mtb though) maybe if i trained with you once or twice would do better!

I'm really glad that you were in A this year. Last year you hurt me real bad.

Well done, that's a good time !!

One minute behind you Cav. I blew on the N 14 and only just squeaked my sub three.

I dropped back to H to ride with a friend.

I was quite tentative after my high speed dismount on Friday morning's loosen up ride, and my hip was moerowwe sore. I

stopped in Randburg to ice my leg, lost about 5 minutes there but still snuck in under 3 hours.

Quite pleased under the circumstances as yesterday I did not think I would ride, but thought I'd at least start and see how it went. Happy I did.

Beautiful day out there! and more support on the roads now, Joburg people are starting to get the idea, getting into the spirit of things: picnics, braais, parties.

Was having a bit of issue with the FD, Cycle Lab staff at one of the tech stops helped tweak the limit screws. I stayed out of groups after the city loop, found it a bit tricky with people all over the place, more relaxed to ride solo. Found I would be passing peeps up the hills then they would pass me on the flats, interesting. Gave it a bit of TT horns towards the end to get in under 4 hours, bit of a traffic jam after the finish, just a comment, not a winge.

Great celebration of cycling, and for one day only, we pwn the roads.

Boom boom... No training at all, managed a 4h36 from group MM at 09:20.... cramped alot from 50km and walked a couple of hills... could`ve achieved a sub 4 if I had trained.... Enjoyed it alot more then last years suffering..

Had a fun day, even if was hot and windy, that wind seems to be head on all day.

Dropped back to MM to ride and pace a mate who's previous PB was 5.20, pulled him around in 4.04. Bit annoyed with the bottle necks at some of the water points, where you almost had to get off your bike and walk through them, perhaps without that we may have got under 4hrs.

Also had to slow down for a few hectic crashes that had happened, hope the cyclists are all ok, medics were there very quickly for them, so good organisationfrom that point.

Otherwise a good day... Glad all had a good time

If you are riding (racing) a second lap it is up to YOU to be courteous and careful of those trying their best on their first lap. There's a reason they started in the 'alphabet' soup ....

Basic rule of the road whether in a car or on a bicycle is keep left and overtake on the right .... surely that's not too difficult to comprehend .... unless they do the same in a car!!!

The Wyatt/Carpet express.

We rocked up this morning at the start of D batch and started right at the back.

Holy cows...the guys set off at a blistering pace onto the M1 and I was found to be struggling to get and hang onto some wheels.

As we were about the catch up with one of the D group splits, 4 guys came down hard on the tar.

We dodged the water bottles that was shattered all over the road.

Wyatt did a fabulous job today.

He pulled our bunch the whole way on the M1 setting the pace that he know I can do.

then he had to quickly switch rolls and play Mr Motivator as I was hurting and suffering on the climb to the other side of town.

We then joined on with one of the E bunches coming from behind and that is where we stayed.

Wyatt you did a hell of a job today. You got me home in time.

Thanks for all the effort, training and coaching.

You surely deserve a medal of honor.
