Blackbeard Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Yes that is true.I'm acid with most people in general but especially when they are "trying" to drive.People need to start looking out for each other and treating each other with respect. The rules of the road need to be followed by ALL, no one knows what indicators are anymore and everyone seems to think that 2 cars are allowed to cross a red light. Everyone is constantly fighting for positions in traffic even if it saves them 0.5 sec. I mean really, its not that hard to abide by a few rules, it would also help if we had a police force that functioned correctly. For all the guys that think I'm being harsh or condoning this beating. Play this scenario out (i am not implying this is what happened) You are having a nice chilled ride with some friends, a car drives past and a bunch of guys start pelting you with stuff out the windows and then just speeds off.You surprisingly bump into this car further down the road and stop to have a few words with the driver.The driver tells you to F-off and go wear your spandex at the gym. Know knowing that reporting this to the police they will simply laugh at you and tell you to get lost,what would all you "Heroes" do? I would probably break a side mirror if they really ticked me off. A bruised ego cannot justify violence.

He mentioned that the club has been given until 4pm today to come forward with the names of the individuals in the video. If they fail to do so the club will be sanctioned and it's members barred from taking part in WP Affiliated cycling events. Edit: NotSoBigBen beat me to it Did they comply with the deadline?

If that car stops and I confront these people, and they chirp or smile or laugh, then I think I might loose my temper completely. And hopefully you will exchange a few pleasantries and each go your own way without the inconvenience of a criminal trial.

Yep, and while you smack them around some other motorist could be videotaping the whole incident on his cellphone and within a few hours you are a youtube star, disqualified from the Argus, have your own hub thread, your facebook page disfigured and all cyclists regarded as violent thugs by the general public. Yep, this could happen. In that situation, it is possible that I might loose my temper and not care about the consequences, especially if I was younger. Now that I`m older I would probably think before I start a brawl.

What then?

awesme Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Sounds very much like 2 riders that's been designated as sacrificial lams so that the entire club does not get sanctioned, allowing the rest to still ride the argus/get away.
