I still don't understand your irritation.

Neither do i. Whilst i dont agree with the bike shop response i can to a degree understand bike shop owner frustration with people like this who JUST HAS TO MAKE THAT POINT....

I went to (for now) nameless LBS and saw a stem which was not marked with a price.

I demanded they give it to me for free. They refused. What twats. I'll name and shame unless they change their attitude and throw in a bike.

Look how important I am, have a high flying IT job that saves lives!!... have too much time on my hands and should really look in the mirror for a reality check!!

To the OP, grow up, you made your point in pointing out the error, you went beyond making your point by demanding that the sale be honoured, you did not like the response from the shop owner and now you have become a cry baby!!

When I was still a kid back in the 80s, was shopping at Hyperama with my mom. We picked up a few garden tools, none of which had prices on. When we enquired at the till the manager ran around for a bit to try and find a price. Eventually came back to us and said that those were the last stock of end of range items which had been deleted from the 'system' and that he would ring them up for a grand total of R 0.00 :)

Go away with your logic!!!

You have a strong life saving IT background and you use your work email for a childish taunt. You do this because it is linked to your banking details for a deal where there was never going to be money changing hands.

Given the critical security level and highly specialized nature of your job I hope you just had an off day.

top response! It seems that when people push their point they are often the ones who seem to unearth the type of response that the OP feels so aggrieved about. Begs the question that if he had refrained from trying to make a trivial point (pointing out that an error was made on the website) he would not have received the backlash that he got. Feels like karma? Edited by MTB-BFK

I think the answer lies in the lack of carb intake. I get crabby with no carbs. *goes off to deep-fry some Milho Frito for brunch...*

Could be, I have actually had a good helping of carbs this morning, perhaps the OP should do the same.

Ok a couple of things i really don't understand...

1.why you even bothered ?

2.why i would possibly have read to the end of this thread ?

Common OP you have to actually see the owners point of view here, he was just giving you a clap on the wrist for behaving like a petulant child, it's actually quite funny....glad you kissed and made up!

I dont think he wants to give his name now .....

He was never going to do that anyway. Never in the history of the hub did someone reveal the name of a shop after a rant about bad service or getting shafted. (Except for the Pinnarello episode but he had the balls to mention the name from the start) #scaretactics
