Many thought that his career at the pinnacle of the sport was over; definitely me too. The little climber from a little country at the foot of Africa achieves his first WT win.
Louis is now a bit of a breakaway artist! Team IWG keeps on delivering.

“It’s something really special, I think it still needs some time to sink in. I’ve actually never been on the podium of a WorldTour race except for team classifications so that was one of my main goals before stopping my career…”

She is my sister.

no really, thats my sisters name. I actually follow 2 Sam Bennetts on Strava

to be brutally honest, I've never heard of her.

back the the topic, I was really wondering why LM was doing both TdF and Vuelta, when he clearly was very empty by the time they got to paris. He's had an amazing recovery here.

And putting up arms in victory is in bad taste! Could have rolled over the line… it’s a half victory and he said it himself. Case closed.

That's helluva harsh

To win you need to finish. He finished, the others didn't

"Met een armpje in de lucht en een gebaar dat hij er zelf niet kan aan doen, komt Meintjes als ritwinnaar over de streep."

and

"Louis Meintjes (Intermarché-Wanty) kwam solo als eerste over de streep. "Dit is misschien een zege, maar zo voelt het niet aan",  reageerde de Zuid-Afrikaan ingetogen."

I think he handled it very well and respectfully.

If you win by an inch, a mile or because the favorites crashes, its still a win.
