It's quite simple had a click problem on my road bike.

Swore it was the pedal - not so.

The nuts that you attach your cleats to on the shoe was loose and sliding forward and backward. 😀

I’m about to start blaming my knees.

I had that issue (but when I was riding an oval chainring). My clutch was causing an intermittent tick. Some squirt on each RD pivot and was sorted. Don't think its your issue though. .I'm also leaning towards s pedal and perhaps the pedal spindle bearing has s dud ball....

What cassette do you have and does it happen in all the gears or only some?

Had the same issue happen to me, and turned out to be my crank that was coming loose. An easy fix thank goodness

The disaster that is a Sunrace 12spd. I thought along the same lines.

I’m not 100% sure if it is across the whole range of gears either. I did inspect the cassette for loose rivets when i serviced the freehub.  Nothing obvious

Well it could be the nut riding the bike that is the problem. :)

But as mentioned earlier by someone else, check the saddle/seatpost . Heck, I started getting really crazy a few months back tracking down a ticking noise that would only occur under hard efforts, i was convinced it was the BB.

Turned out to be the house keys in my pocket.

As far as I'm aware the Sunrace cassettes are not "noisy" anyway.  I had a issue with my 12sp XTR cassette when it was new but after some TLC its been quite ever since.

I'm not a Sunrace fan, so you need to replace it with a Garbaruk, cant wait for next year ... :)

At this point i’m considering a tear down & rebuild service.

These sounds can drive one up the wall !! 🤬

Really had me going in circles with Maritz's bike ...

Hope you get it sorted quickly

I'm so glad I am very deaf and don't wear hearing aids.

I can't hear any of these little noises and only stop to fix my bike if it doesn't feel smooth or is skipping.

A quiet bike is a fast bike 😂

I’d be less worried if I didn’t feel the click. Previous creak was my seat rails. Carbon can squeal like a stuck pig.

This is becoming the definitive thread for all things creaking and also the importance of hearing loss and how it relates to a happy life.
